Smith & Harroff developed and recently launched an advertising campaign for the Nuclear Energy Institute to emphasize that with nuclear energy, we can have both reliable power and clean air. The principal goal of the campaign is to inform opinion leaders and policy makers that new technologies are changing the way nuclear energy is being used to generate electricity. The primary message is the “clean air” benefit of nuclear energy, a message that is increasingly significant as we struggle to control CO2 emissions while producing more electricity with American technology and fuel. The ads feature Leslie Dewan, CEO of Transatomic Power, an entrepreneur who is developing cutting-edge technology that uses spent nuclear fuel to generate electricity.
